MDC group garners 134 SOPI Construction Safety Awards
MDC projects received 125 Construction Safety Awards from the Safety Organization of the Philippines (SOPI). Award of Excellence – 6 projects awarded Award of Distinction – 7 projects awarded Award of Honor – 22 projects awarded Award of Merit – 17 projects awarded Award of Commendation – 2 projects awarded Perfect Safety Record – 71 projects awarded

In addition, SOPI recognized 4 Outstanding Safety Practitioners: Arnold Lucena – CANGOLF Bridge Project (Practitioner) Rainer Bautista – MEQ North Luzon OpCen Yard (Practitioner) Alain Anthony Guerrero – MEQ Arca South OpCen Yard (Practitioner) Irene Piamonte-Albania – South Luzon OpCen (Practitioner)
Congratulations as well to SQTO and EU Manager Rhodney Remata for being recognized as an Outstanding Safety Consultant – a new category launched by SOPI this year.
The awarding ceremony was held during the 15th National Construction Safety Conference last April 25-26, 2024, at Ichikawa Hall, Occupational Safety and Health Center, Diliman, Quezon City. Through the Construction Safety Awards, SOPI recognizes the efforts and best practices of companies to maintain a safe & healthy workplace and reduce the frequency rates of accidents and injuries onsite.
