AYALA CORPORATION'S REAL ESTATE DIVISION (RED)

MDC, formerly a unit within Ayala Corporation’s Real Estate Division (RED), develops the Makati Central Business District

1974
INCORPORATION

Makati Development Corporation was established. MDC embarks on its first residential,
infrastructure and building projects.

1988
ALI SUBSIDIARY

MDC becomes a subsidiary of Ayala Land, Inc.

1990
PROJECTS

MDC begins constructing schools, industrial plants and business parks.

2000
SCALE

MDC begins constructing lifestyle malls, high-rise buildings and leisure developments

2003
CERTIFICATIONS

MDC becomes the first construction company in the Philippines to simultaneously receive three
ISO certifications

2008
PRESTIGE

MDC undertakes world-class prestige projects.

2011
STRENGTH

MDC transforms into a full-scale Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Construction
Management (EPCCM) company as it strengthened the organization by investing in its people,
capabilities, resources and technologies

2012
MDC’s FIRST SUBSIDIARY

MDC BuildPlus, Inc. was established as MDC’s first subsidiary handling housing, mid-rise and fit
out projects.

2014
40TH YEAR

MDC celebrates its 40 th year in the business.

MDC establishes MDC Equipment Solutions, Inc. (MEQ)

and MDC ConQrete, Inc. (MCI)

which handles the company’s equipment fleet management and concrete products operations,
respectively.

2017
LIVEM

MDC adopts LIVEM – the new corporate values of Ayala Land, Inc. LIVEM stands for
Leadership, Integrity, Vision, Excellence and Malasakit.
MDC forms a joint venture partnership with Hong Kong-based Bouygues Batiment International
(BBI) to form MDBI Construction Corp. MDBI handles complex, world-class construction
projects in Makati such as the Ayala Triangle North development, One Ayala Avenue and Park
Central Towers.

2019
45TH YEAR

MDC celebrates its 45 th year in the business,

and relocates to its new, permanent headquarters
in ARCA South – the MDC Corporate Center.
