With more than 35 competing entrants, MDC was chosen as part of the Top 5 Finalists of the Clark Development Corporation’s (CDC) Corporate Building Conceptual Design Competition. The competition provides an opportunity for Filipino design and architectural firms to submit conceptual designs for the new CDC corporate building and make a significant impact on the future of the Clark Freeport Zone.
The MDC Team’s entry, entitled “Silungan”, entails a revolutionary corporate building design inspired by distinct local elements that create a harmonious interplay of nature, sustainability, and modern innovation. The design embodies the concept of organic growth, mimicking the gentle riverbanks (pampang) and the protective embrace of a mangrove canopy. The building’s form is reminiscent
of an empennage or airplane’s tail, symbolizing forward momentum and a commitment to a future where human ingenuity and ecological responsibility go hand-in-hand. MDC’s entry is a collaboration between members of our Commercial Group and Business Development Division.
