MDC’s Best OSH Practices Recognized at DOLE’s 12th Gawad Kaligtasan at Kalusugan

The following Makati Development Corporation (MDC) projects received the Best Practice Award for OSH Capability Building Including Information Strategies at the Department of Labor and Employment – Occupational Safety and Health Center’s (DOLE-OSHC) 12th Gawad Kaligtasan and Kalusugan (GKK) last October 2022:

• Ayala Greenfield Estates Project, Laguna
• The Residences at Azuela Cove Project, Davao

Some of the best practices recognized by DOLE-OSHC include intensified safety campaigns onsite, utilization of virtual platforms during calamities and typhoons, strict compliance to COVID-19 protocols and other EHS requirements, capacity-building programs to improve OSH competencies, and implementation of various health and wellness activities to engage employees and workers.

GKK is an award given by the DOLE-OSHC to recognize and highlight the outstanding achievements of establishments and individuals in terms of nurturing the safety, health, and wellbeing of workers, workplaces, and communities. This is the first time DOLE-GKK has given such recognition to a construction company, and likewise, the first time for MDC to receive the award.
