Makati Development Corporation established a program dubbed as HEED the CSR, where HEED refers to the issues of concern such as Housing, Education, Environment and Disaster Assistance. The program has two components of objectives, the social and business outcomes.

HOUSING
As a construction company, it is inevident that MDC will respond to the call of building the country from a nation of slums to an empowered, productive and peaceful country. This is through the partnership with Habitat for Humanity Philippines, a nonprofit organization that has been building decent and affordable shelter for more than 12,000 families in 166 communities all over the country in a little over a decade.
EDUCATION
Clearly, the best way out of poverty is through education. MDC is committed to support the education initiative of Children’s Hour through its program Sharing the Light. It envisions bringing high school public libraries back to life. It likewise aims to increase English, reading and writing proficiency of students as well as equip teacher-librarians with the necessary skills in library management. Also, there is a Book Collection Driveby which all employees and even the company’s business partners are encouraged to donate books, old and new, to augment the necessity of school supplies.
ENVIRONMENT
As an ISO – certified company on Environmental Management System, it is not a just a mere compliance but a responsibility to spearhead environmental protection initiatives. The company shall ensure sustainable living amidst progress through proper waste management, reforestation programs and clean air, land and water measures. Every project site is required to conduct tree planting before the commencement of the construction operations.
DISASTER ASSISTANCE
With the existing fleet of construction equipment, the company is always being tapped to spearhead the clearing operations during and after typhoon, floods and other natural disasters. Aside from these, there is a Coin Collection Drivedubbed as Piso mula sa Puso, promoting humble contribution of employees with money in small monetary value for the purchase of relief goods for the victims of natural disasters.
